Holistica Health’s most in-demand telehealth services include after-hours GP consultations, online medical certificates and prescription repeats, acne treatment (including Retinoids for eligible Dermatology patients), weight loss care with GP follow-up, assessment for GLP-1 treatment eligibility and progress, hair loss therapy including DHT blocker therapies, ADHD assessments and referrals, sexual health and STI testing, erectile dysfunction therapy and quit smoking support including prescriptions.

Holistica Health provides secure video and phone consultations using encrypted software to protect your privacy. We do not offer asynchronous consultations, because real-time, clinician-led care aligns with the Australian Good Medical Practice Code of Conduct and Medical Board of Australia telehealth guidance.

Holistica Health only shares your medical information with your consent or when required by Australian regulations. With consent, relevant information may be uploaded to My Health Record and can be accessed by your regular GP if needed.

Can I book my consultation over the phone?

No. To protect your privacy and ensure compliance, all Holistica Health appointments must be booked through our secure online platform. This allows you to review and sign the required consent forms before your telehealth consultation and confirms payment at the time of booking. Our booking system is fast, user-friendly, and helps us deliver safe, regulated specialised GP care across Australia.

Yes. You can book a Holistica Health telehealth appointment without a Medicare card. During booking, enter 0000000000 (10 zeros), line 1, and expiry 01/2030, and leave any “Health Pension” fields blank. Next, apply for a free Individual Healthcare Identifier (IHI) and email it to admin@holisticahealth.com.au before your consultation. Consultation fees vary by service and are shown clearly next to the Book button.

Yes. Patients must be 18 years or older to access Holistica Health’s alternative therapy, smoking cessation, ADHD assessment and weight loss services. For all other telehealth consultations, including general GP and specialised GP dermatology care, patients of any age can be seen when clinically appropriate. A parent or legal guardian may be required for minors. Please note that alternative therapy options are available only to patients who pass the booking eligibility check, provide a specialist letter confirming the relevant medical condition, have not responded to standard treatments, have no contraindicated mental health conditions, and understand the driving regulations applicable in their state or territory. Eligibility must also meet the current TGA guidelines for prescribing monitored drugs and alternative medicine.

You can cancel your Holistica Health telehealth appointment by replying to your confirmation SMS or contacting our team. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled consultation incur the full fee, as your appointment time is reserved for you. In exceptional circumstances, a refund may be considered at the doctor’s discretion. This policy helps us protect appointment availability, especially for same-day and after-hours specialised GP care.

Can I claim my consultations through Medicare?

Holistica Health telehealth consultations are privately billed, including medical certificates and prescriptions, and are generally not claimable through Medicare. Payment is required upfront at the time of booking. We provide a detailed receipt for every consultation. DVA patients are welcome to book, but we do not currently offer direct DVA billing or concessions. Your receipt can be submitted to DVA for potential reimbursement, depending on your eligibility.

Private health insurance may cover some Holistica Health services, depending on your insurer and level of cover. Coverage varies widely, and some Australian insurers do not currently reimburse certain telehealth consultations or management plans. We recommend checking directly with your fund before booking or lodging a claim. You will receive a detailed receipt after your consultation to support any eligible claim.
