Sunscreen (SPF)

Sunscreen protects skin from ultraviolet radiation, and SPF (sun protection factor) rates protection against UVB. Broad spectrum products also cover UVA, which drives ageing and pigmentation. Australia has among the highest UV levels and skin cancer rates in the world.

Australian guidance recommends daily broad spectrum SPF 50 or higher when the UV index reaches 3, reapplied every two hours outdoors. Sunscreen is also the foundation of every acne, melasma and anti ageing treatment plan, since UV undoes results from actives and prescription creams alike.
