Preventive Health

Preventive health is healthcare aimed at stopping disease before it starts or catching it early: immunisations, cancer screening programs, blood pressure and cholesterol checks, diabetes risk assessment and lifestyle risk factor management.

Australia runs national screening programs for bowel, breast and cervical cancer, and GPs provide structured health checks at key ages. Prevention is where healthcare delivers its best returns, and telehealth removes the main barrier, making the check up that never gets booked as easy as a phone call.
