Niacinamide

Niacinamide is a form of vitamin B3 used in skincare for its broad, well tolerated effects: it supports the skin barrier, moderates oil production, calms redness and helps fade pigmentation over time.

It is available over the counter in serums and moisturisers, typically at 4 to 10 percent, and combines safely with most other actives including retinoids. Niacinamide supports a routine rather than replacing medical treatment; persistent acne, rosacea or pigmentation still benefit from a prescription review.
