Dexamfetamine

Dexamfetamine is a prescription stimulant medicine used in ADHD management. It increases dopamine and noradrenaline activity in brain regions that regulate attention and impulse control, and is one of the longest established ADHD medicines in Australia.

Dexamfetamine is a Schedule 8 controlled medicine with strict state based prescribing rules, generally requiring specialist diagnosis or approval. Dosing is individualised through supervised titration, with regular reviews of response, sleep, appetite and cardiovascular measures.
