It is available over the counter in Australian pharmacies in strengths from 2.5 to 10 percent, with lower strengths proving similarly effective and less irritating. It bleaches fabric, so white pillowcases are wise. Persistent or scarring acne warrants a prescription review rather than stronger pharmacy products.
